Food Truck Friday:

Sauce Magazine, the premier culinary periodical representing STL, has stepped up to organize a Friday night celebration of mobile cuisine and the people who love it. Food Truck Friday St Louis is offered Fridays in June, July, August and September “more than 20 trucks gather for an evening of friends, fun, live music and plenty of great food at Sauce’s Friday events. St. Louis’ favorite mobile restaurants will be dishing out fresh fare and local brews in Tower Grove Park.” Enjoy St Louis Food Truck Friday throughout the summer and learn more about what there is to love.

9 Mile Garden:

This is STL’s permanent foodie heaven! “Seven days a week, you’ll find a daily rotation of St. Louis’ best and most beloved food trucks open for lunch and dinner services, slinging a wide variety of dishes.”

This is the be-all-end-all organization for St Louis Food Truck vendors. Join up and learn, grow and improve!

Street Food Finder:

Don’t leave enjoying street cuisine to chance. The Finder zeroes in on major cities and targets where the best trucks are available. Here you can find trucks in the wild or book them for private events.

Thinking of Starting A Food Truck In St Louis County or Illinois?

If you love delicious and diverse food trucks, St Louis serves up hundreds of great choices and welcoming events to satisfy your palate! And if you’re thinking about venturing into the mobile culinary industry, we want to welcome you to the River City and list a few great resources that we thought you should know about.

Research some of the great resources out there to learn from others before you make a large investment. The Roaming Hunger website is a great resource centered on the street cuisine industry.

The Roaming Hunger article covers all the bases from purchasing a truck, to making preparations, creating a menu, getting funding, marketing, hiring and one area we thought was particularly interesting: Understanding Permits and Regulations.

It’s important to remember that there are many factors involved in running a successful restaurant from a truck. Millstadt Rendering is here to help you with handling the removal of your used cooking oil. We’ve been handling used cooking oil disposal for STL restaurants and restaurants in Southern Illinois for decades. If you have questions about what to do with used cooking oil, call us to find out how easy we can make it to recycle your cooking oil and meat trimmings or scraps.
